About Us

How we started

After holding senior managerial positions including 18 years of working in the general insurance arena and having responsibility for a claims budget of £50 million, John Hayes spotted a gap in the market place for costs and Calculus was born. His focus and determination has allowed the company to expand and we now include a number of top legal 500 firms within our client base.

Our expertise

From the outset, we have only recruited the very best people and provided them with cutting edge training. Our advocates are highly skilled technicians who have a strong grasp of the issues which are likely to impact upon cost recovery. We recognise the need to retain a balanced approach which promotes positive cash flow without undermining the integrity of the result. Our proactive management of the costs phases ensures we keep your cases firmly on track.
